We have a Proxmox running on ramiel. It lives in pve.dma.space (redirects to ramiel).

Creating a Member VM

All members can create a VM on this machine! Please be mindful of the resources that we have and don't create oversized VMs, so that other members can have some compute too.

Pitfalls

Proxmox sucks! Here are some pitfalls that you need to keep in mind when creating a VM.

Remember to choose a Resource Pool when creating VMs

If you don't do this, Proxmox will return a "Permission check failed (403)" error!

Choose "host" or "x86_64-v4" as the CPU Type

If you don't do this, your VM might either run very slowly (because it's missing modern instruction sets) or it might not even boot at all!
